Private Adult ADHD Assessment in England
Pernovia Health provides remote private adult ADHD assessments for adults aged 18 and over across England. Your appointment takes place by secure video call, so there is no clinic to travel to and no waiting room.
Assessments are carried out by appropriately qualified clinicians working in adult ADHD assessment and diagnosis. The pathway includes a comprehensive 2-hour assessment and, once your report is finalised, a 15-minute follow-up to discuss your diagnostic outcome, receive your report and ask questions about the next steps.
An assessment-and-diagnosis service, clearly defined
We do one thing: a comprehensive adult ADHD assessment, delivered online, with a clear outcome and a written clinical report. We do not prescribe or initiate medication, provide ongoing treatment, or enter shared care arrangements, and we are independent of the NHS.
Knowing exactly what is — and is not — included means you can decide whether this is the right step before you spend anything. If medication is something you go on to consider, your report gives you and any treating clinician a detailed record of the assessment and its findings.
Available anywhere in England
Because the service is remote, the same pathway, the same clinicians and the same fee apply wherever you live in England — a city centre, a market town or a rural village makes no difference to how quickly you can be seen.
All you need is a private, confidential space and a reliable internet connection. We do not operate physical premises in England.

Across the country
Regions we assess adults in
Our clinicians assess adults living anywhere in England. Because everything happens by secure video call, where you live affects nothing about the pathway, the clinician you see or the fee you pay.
London and the South East
Brighton, Reading, Milton Keynes and Greater London.
South West
Bristol, Bath, Plymouth, Exeter and the wider West Country.
East of England
Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich, Luton and surrounding counties.
Midlands
Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry, Derby and Stoke.
North West
Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Lancaster and Cumbria.
Yorkshire and the North East
Leeds, Sheffield, York, Newcastle and Sunderland.
We deliberately do not run separate pages or clinics for individual towns and cities. There is one England-wide remote service, one pathway and one fee, so you can compare it against any other option without hunting for hidden regional differences.
Choosing between NHS and private assessment in England
Adults in England can be referred for an NHS ADHD assessment through their GP. Availability and waiting times vary considerably between local services, and your GP or integrated care board is the right source for what applies where you live.
A private assessment is an alternative route, paid for by you, with no referral needed. It does not replace NHS care, and it does not create any entitlement to NHS prescribing or shared care — those decisions rest with NHS clinicians.
What your report can be used for
Your written report sets out the clinical findings, the outcome and the reasoning behind it. Many adults choose to share it with their GP, and it can also support conversations about workplace or study adjustments.
Sharing is always patient-led: we do not send your report to anyone else without your instruction. Read more about what the assessment involves or our full FAQs.
The pathway
How a remote ADHD assessment works
Four straightforward stages, designed so you always know what happens next.
1. Free initial ADHD screening
A short, free online screening helps you explore whether the symptoms you're experiencing may be consistent with ADHD and whether you may benefit from a full assessment. It is not a diagnosis.
2. Booking and questionnaires
Once you've booked, we'll send you a small number of questionnaires to complete before your appointment. These help your clinician understand your experiences in more detail and make the assessment itself as focused and useful as possible.
3. Your clinical assessment
A comprehensive 2-hour remote assessment covering your current difficulties, developmental history, education, work, relationships and day-to-day functioning, considered against recognised diagnostic criteria.
4. Follow-up and written report
Once your assessment has been reviewed and your report finalised, you'll have a 15-minute follow-up appointment to discuss your diagnostic outcome, receive your report and ask any questions about the next steps.
Free initial screening
Not sure whether an ADHD assessment is right for you?
Take our free short ADHD screening questionnaire. The ASRS v1.1 is a brief screening questionnaire that can help identify whether your experiences may be consistent with ADHD. It is not a diagnostic test and the result does not confirm or exclude ADHD.
Anonymous and free. Your answers are not stored, and your screening result alone does not determine whether you have ADHD.
An assessment is about finding the right explanation, not simply receiving a diagnosis.
Booking or undergoing an ADHD assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis of ADHD. Where ADHD is not diagnosed, your clinician will explain the clinical findings and the reasoning behind them, and you will still receive a comprehensive written report with appropriate recommendations and next steps.
